Dog Training Options

Training sessions will be $100 per hour. You may choose to be present for a teaching/training session where I teach you the necessary skills to train your own dog. Or you may choose day training, where I train your dog for you while you are at work or otherwise occupied. There are pros and cons to both options and they can be mixed and matched. I'm happy to discuss teaching/training lessons vs day training lessons and help you decide what percentage of each best suits your individual needs.

Play with your dog in lessons personalized to suit your needs and interests. You may choose to teach your dog tricks, agility obstacles and maneuvers, to locate particular odors, or Rally Obedience course skills. Games increase a dogs attentiveness and obedience to the handler in a fun way. These lessons are a good choice for handlers who would like to compete and earn titles with their dogs.

For clients who are unable to attend lessons in person due to distance or other restrictions, raining lessons may be conducted through Zoom video chat. In real time, training exercises will be demonstrated using my own dog. I will evaluate your dog and coach you through the training exercises as you work in your own home.

Offered to clients who have completed a private lesson. Your dog will be taken for a 1 hour walk while you are at work or otherwise engaged. Training will be tailored to suit your goals and is intended to maintain, strengthen and expand on behaviors learned during the initial consultation. In cases of extreme hot or cold weather where the wellbeing of the dog is at risk, an appropriate portion of the lesson may be conducted inside your home.

This option is available to clients who have completed at least one private lesson For clients who need who need their dog walked and trained regularly in an ongoing fashion (5 days a week every week, for example).

We will locate the perfect shelter dog to suit your lifestyle. You will integrate your new best friend into your life as easily and quickly as possible by starting your relationship with two private lessons. We will focus on bonding and obedience training as well as housebreaking and other typical issues that arise with a new dog.

A good breeder has the best interest of the dogs in mind with every litter they produce. Extensive genetic testing of the parents as well as a thorough knowledge of the dogs that have been produced by their family tree is evaluated  before the breeding takes place. Producing puppies with ideal temperaments starts with intensive care of the mother and continues with carefully planned handling and exposure to novel stimuli from birth. I will help you locate a breeder with this level of expertise.
